Tau Kappa Epsilon and the Alzheimer's Association Memory Walk '08

When: October 18th, 2008, 10am - 1pm
Where: Outside of Founders Hall
401 College Avenue
Ashland, OH 44805
The biggest philanthropy event that Tau Kappa Epsilon does is the annual Alzheimer’s Associations Memory Walk. In 2008, TKE had the biggest turn out and with the help of the Alzheimer’s Association was able to raise the biggest amount ever. The event was planned over a series of months by a team of members of Tau Kappa Epsilon, where they retrieved local donations from business and individuals, mapped out the walk, created the pre-walk ceremony. All the members of TKE contributed to set-up, directing, and clean-up of the event. The event was a major success and pulled in a massive crowd from the University and members of the Ashland community. With help from the Alzheimer’s Association the annual Memory Walk raised over $17,000 for a great cause.
